Santos and Victoria first met in the third grade and became fast friends in elementary school. They kept in contact with each other periodically during middle school and high school until they were reunited at a high school graduation party. After a few years, they decided to give their crush for one another a chance and made it official in March 2009. In December, Santos surprised Victoria by proposing at The Lights Festival after she lit her lantern and watched it fly into the sky.
