The Cliff Walk along the eastern shore of Newport, RI is world famous as a public access walk that combines the natural beauty of the Newport shoreline with the architectural history of Newport's gilded age including The Breakers, Marble House, and Rosecliff. The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition.

The Newport Preservation Society holds 11 historic properties and landscapes – seven of which are National Historic Landmarks – from the Colonial era through the Gilded Age. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is set in The Newport Casino, a National Historic Landmark that was first opened on July 26, 1880 as a social club for Newport’s turn of the century summer elite. You can tour the historic grounds, museum, or stop into their restaurant for a bite to eat!
