Such a fun and quick activity to learn a little bit about beer (many samples included)! We have gone twice, and would gladly go again.
The Bicycle Thief
Is it over priced? Maybe… But is it delicious? YES! Best lobster pasta! Also a great lunch spot to try a lobster roll! Highly recommended booking a reservation in advance.
Pane e Circo
The best place for a sweet little treat, we love the chocolate and pistachio croissant!
Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards
We love doing a day trip to Wolfville and going to a few wineries. Our favourite being Lightfoot, where we got engaged but we also really like Benjamin Bridge and Luckett. This does require renting a car, or booking with a tour company in advance.
Antojo Tacos + Tequila
Great atmosphere, nice patio, good food and drinks. We recommend the tacos, enchiladas, and margaritas! Reservations are suggested for weekends and Taco Tuesdays.
The Dairy Bar
We recommend grabbing a 'flavour of the week' soft-served ice cream and taking a stroll through Public Gardens!
Stillwell Beergarden
Our fav beer garden, which just so happens to be attached to The Dairy Bar, so if beer doesn’t interest you, grab an ice cream!
Point Pleasant Park
Perfect for a morning or afternoon walk! Approximately a 30 minute walk (5 minute drive) away from the downtown core.
Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market
This is our fav Saturday or Sunday morning activity! The Halifax Seaport Farmers Market is the oldest, continuously operating farmers market in North America! Michael’s pick: an oat cake or pepito Victoria’s pick: smoothie bowl (add cookie dough)

Another classic Italian waterfront restaurant! Reservations recommended!
Lunenburg
If you are here for an extended 'East Coast Trip', a day trip to Lunenburg is always fun! You will need a car to get here (~1 hour drive). So many good ocean side restaurants and cute shops to have a bop!
Peggy's Cove
A classic tourist destination, but not one to miss! You will need a car, or book a tour in advance!
Crystal Crescent Beach Provincial Park
Nova Scotia has some of the most beautiful beaches. Crystal Crescent is our favourite, although it is very cold it is beautiful! (40 minute drive from downtown) You will need a car to access most beaches. A few other options are: - Rainbow Haven Beach (35 minute drive from downtown) - Lawrencetown Beach - If you are looking to take a surf lesson, this is a great spot. (35 minute drive from downtown) -Queensland Beach (40 minute drive from downtown) -Conrads Beach (30 minute drive from downtown)

Burntcoat Head Park
This is part of the Bay of Fundy and the highest tides (over 50 feet) in the world! You will need to plan your trip with the tide, but when it is out, you can on the ocean floor! A car is required (40 minutes from downtown) and also a pair of shoes you don't mind getting stained by the red sand!

The Brown Hound Public House
If you’re looking for a classic, cozy English pub with comfort food and beer, this is your spot! Great spot to hit up after the Keith’s brewery tour!
Garrison Brewing Company
Halifax has many breweries, you can’t go wrong with any of them! Garrison is located near the waterfront, has a big patio, plenty of indoor seating, and is attached to a (paid) parking lot.
Harbour Hopper
The Harbour Hopper is a fun tour. Buckle up and take a ride through the city streets, and a cruise through the harbour, while also learning about the history of Halifax!
Salt + Ash Beach House
Looking for a place that serves good food but also four shots served on a surfboard? Then this is your place! Located on the waterfront, so we recommend making a reservation!
Sea Smoke Restaurant & Bar
Our favourite happy hour spot on the waterfront! They also have 'fire-tables' on their patio, so it is great spot for a chilly evening. We recommend the avocado and sweet potato sushi rolls or oysters!
