It is recommended to stay near the center of Madrid, as this is where the welcoming party will be held and where shuttles will be provided to/from the wedding venue. We are looking into getting a hotel block, but there are also many affordable options on Airbnb and Vrbo. Please check out the travel guide for recommended neighborhoods and stays!
Your invitation will specify "Your name and Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.
It is recommended to use the metro as it is the most efficient way to get in and around the city. If you plan to extend your stay and travel to other cities outside Madrid or Spain, Madrid's main train station is called Estación Madrid - Puerta de Atocha. You can take the local metro to this train station and travel to nearby cities in/out of Spain. You can of course take the metro to the airport as well to fly in/out.
It is recommended to arrive the latest by the morning of Saturday, May 24th as the welcome party will be held that afternoon. Depending on your travel plans, you'll want to account for the jet lag you may experience with flying to Madrid.
The ceremony will start at one 1pm with cocktails and appetizers starting at 1:30 pm. It is recommended to eat a late breakfast as seated lunch will not be until around 3pm.
Yes, transportation will be provided by buses to and from the venue. The pick up time will be at 11:45am in the center of Madrid. The exact location will be announced closer to the wedding date. There will two buses bringing guests back to the center, one departing at 6:30pm and one at 8:00 pm.
