This is our favorite park in Atlanta, and also where our official ceremony was held. Located in Grant Park, the neighborhood is peaceful, not usually packed, and right next to Zoo Atlanta.
This coffee and breakfast bar is located inside of No Mas! Cantina. They stop serving breakfast at 11, but coffee beverages are still available. The food at No Mas is amaaaazing, as well.

One of the main branches of the Fulton County Library System, this library houses one of the largest and most extensive archives of Black Southern history and ephemera. You don't need a library card to visit the library and it's free. Books cannot be checked out of the library, but you may stay as long as they are open to read and browse.
Owned and operated by artist and archivist Rosa Duffy, this bookstore serves as a repository and reading room for Black historical writing, ephemera and music. Their hours can be wonky, so I suggest checking their IG (@forkeepbooks) first before planning a visit.
We had dinner here for our 6-month and 1-year anniversaries. The food is excellent and the service is amazing.
This a good spot for an aesthetically pleasing, early evening dinner date/outing. The food menu is small (both in number of dishes and portions), but the selections are tasty. Cocktails are good as well. Overall, can be a pinch pricey though, so I wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking for casual/cheap. On weekends, this place gets packed and the dance floor becomes the focus, beginning between 9 & 10 PM.
This historic cemetery touts beautifully curated grounds, daily tours and special events throughout the year. On this weekend particularly, the annual Capturing the Spirit of Oakland event will happen 10/23 - 10/26, allowing visitors to learn about some of the cemeteries most notorious residents and experience Oakland after dark. Featuring a range of music from old-school hip hop and disco to pop and latin music, this club is an Atlanta staple. It recently moved location to Underground Atlanta.
This is a coffee shop that also serves alcoholic drinks, and sometimes hosts listening room and crate-digging events. Check their website and/or instagram to see if they've got anything going on this weekend.
