Our Journey to ‘I Do’

We met on Hinge and had our first date at Liberty Bar in Tallahassee. What we expected to be a simple first date turned into something that just felt easy and right. From that night on, we were basically inseparable, and within a month we both knew we were in it for the long haul. The years between that first date and the proposal were full of real-life milestones that brought us even closer. Mac bought a house, and we dove into renovating it together during football season. This was a true test of love considering how seriously he takes his Saturdays and Sundays in the fall. But somehow, between paint cans and game days, we found our rhythm and proved how well we work as a team. Around the same time, Tori was finishing grad school, and Mac was there for all of it. Through all the highs and lows that comes with grad school, Mac was such a great support. Making sure Tori was fully cared for during long periods of studying and celebrating each one of her big and little wins. His support meant everything. Life took us to Tampa next. Tori moved first for her dream job, and we spent six months long distance, which not easy, but we persevered because we knew what we were choosing. When Mac moved to Tampa later that year, we were so relieved to be together again. Even living with Tori’s parents to save for our life together, he handled every challenge with so much patience and flexibility. It only confirmed what we already knew: that we truly make an incredible team. A little while later, Mac planned a proposal that still feels like a dream. Just four hours after landing in Paris, he led Tori to a quiet spot overlooking the Eiffel Tower and got down on one knee. She had absolutely no idea it was coming. He even arranged for a photographer so we could share the moment with loved ones back home. Such thoughtful, intimate, and a perfect moment for us.
