In the fall of 2024, Victoria and Lleyton first met while attending Liberty University, where they were both serving as Resident Assistants. They initially crossed paths in their bi-weekly Connect class, where they happened to sit at the same table. What started as simple “hello’s” in passing quickly turned into a growing curiosity about one another. After Christmas break, Lleyton decided it was time to make a move. With the help of a mutual friend, he asked for Victoria’s number and came up with a plan. Since both of them worked as Resident Assistants, he asked if Victoria could help him figure out a scheduling software called “25 Live.” When their mutual friend asked Victoria if Lleyton could have her number, she casually replied, “Yeah, that’s fine!”—but immediately called her mom afterward, wondering if she was being set up and whether Lleyton might actually be interested in her. Later that day, Lleyton texted Victoria asking for help with 25 Live, and they agreed to meet at the dining hall the next morning. Victoria helped him for about five minutes… and then the two ended up talking for the rest of the time. It didn’t take long for them to realize they instantly clicked. The very next day, Lleyton asked Victoria out on their first official date: coffee at Kinship Roasters in Lynchburg. The date went so well that it quickly turned into a second, third, and fourth. By their second date—on Valentine’s Day in 2025—both of them quietly knew they had found the person they wanted to marry. On their third date, they talked about making things official. Not long after, Victoria’s parents even flew up to Virginia to meet Lleyton. Then, on March 1, 2025, Lleyton asked Victoria to be his girlfriend. After 11 wonderful months of dating, Lleyton planned the perfect proposal. On February 14, 2026—exactly one year after that special Valentine’s Day date—he proposed to Victoria at sunset at Smith Mountain Lake. To make the moment even sweeter, he had also planned a surprise celebration afterward with their families and closest friends. And the rest is history…
