Pleasant Valley Orchard
Mid-June to mid-July Pleasent Valley Orchard has their pick-your-own strawberry season. Take in the beautiful views and enjoy the sweet berries for a fun family afternoon.
Franconia Sculpture Park
Come see the truly unique beauty that is Franconia. Franconia is a 50-acre, outdoor sculpture park, located in Shafer, MN, and home to over 100 public sculptures. Their grounds are open from 8 am to 8 pm. Their common areas are open from 10 am to 5 pm.
Winehaven Winery
Chisago City is home to Winehaven Winery. Stop in for a bite to eat and participate in their wine tastings. Be sure to check out their event page and see if you can catch one of their fun-filled activities!
FAWN-DOE-ROSA Wildlife Educational Park
A 25 minute drive from our wedding venue, Fawn Doe Rosa is a Wildlife Educational Park. Admission is $11 for ages 13 and up, $10 for kids aged 2-12, and free for those under 2. Pony rides are available for $5 a child and animal feed is available for purchase at $2.50 a bag.
Wilke Glen and Cascade Falls
Cascade Falls is just across the boarder in Osceola, WI, only 16 minutes from Ojiketa Regional Park. The falls are easy to get to but are down a rather large staircase, so not very handicap accessable. They are surrounded by different nature trails. Be sure to stop at our children's favorite, The Milk House, for an ice cream before you leave!
Interstate State Park
Interstate State Park is located 22 minutes away from Ojiketa Regional Park, this state park offers stunning views of the St. Croix River and its famous cliffs. This state park features glacial potholes, ancient lava, and sandstone cliffs. If you're looking for something that requires a little more effort, check out their many hiking trails.
Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours
Take a paddle boat tour down the St. Croix River. You'll learn about the area's history as well as the unique rock formations the St. Croix is known for. Take a peek at their calendar and see what kind of cruise you can catch!
