Helen is a former logging mountain town in Northeast Georgia resurrected into a replica of a Bavarian alpine town in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. The classic southern German style is present on every building! Helen is best known for its annual Oktoberfest festivities when revelers, dressed in lederhosen & dirndls, dance to Polka through the streets while enjoying traditional German food and drinks!
In addition to all of that downtown Helen has to offer, you will be surrounded by many miles of hiking trails with countless beautiful waterfalls. Grab your hiking boots and go view the wonderful Fall colors in the North Georgia mountains as we hit peak leaf peeping season!
