Joy is everything her name is. Joe says she’s the reason he is the man he is today. She showed him how to love and how to treat women, watching her raise him & all of his brothers made her a superhero in his eyes. Her resilience inspires Joe everyday to keep pushing. No matter what life has thrown at her she’s still standing. She’s always reminding us that family is the most important and to always say I love you. She’s the glue that holds her family together.

Jon is the reason I can take a joke and give it right back. He has always been my reminder to never take anything too seriously. To always question everything, to know when to stand up for yourself & when to swallow your pride and keep moving forward. He’s an incredible son, brother, & friend and we’re all so lucky to have him our lives.

Chris is the most patient & dedicated person I’ve ever met. He’s always trying to be better and find ways to make a better life for himself and his family. It’s very rare to see people with the kind of discipline he has. What drives him is a better version of himself. I will always admire how hard he works to be a better human.

Sekoya is one of my dearest friends. We met a few years ago and have been in sync ever since. Even though we live in different states, phone calls and facetimes feel like our regular hangouts & it’s like we never miss a beat with each other. Everyone deserves to have someone like her in their lives. She’s my sister in every lifetime. Even though hundreds of miles keep us apart, her presence is always with me. Her love feels constant & it’s more than enough for me to know that she’s always rooting for me.

I feel like I’ve known Lauren in a past life. We’ve been through so many phases of life together, we’ve grown up, changed & lived so many different lives since we became friends. Months could go by without getting to see or talk to each other, & yet we always pick up right where we left off. For the past six years we’ve watched each other grow, fall, start over, & pick ourselves up each time. Through it all, our friendship & love for one another only deepened.
