On this day in Austin, Texas there was an event called, "Cars and Coffee." The bride was attending with a couple of co-workers that had custom cars and the groom was attending the car meet with his car club, "Wild Side Stangs." Little did they know that was the day they would each meet their life partners. As a young girl, the bride shared her late father's passion—as he loved muscle cars and to work on his baby, "Desire," a 1969, midnight black, Dodge Cornet R/T. He used Desire to show his girls the meaning of not only respecting and taking care of what they had, but also themselves. The Groom also shared this passion of cars at a young age. His late sister, Angela, drove a beautiful 1968 viper red Mustang that they would take to school or wrestling practice. He could not wait for the day he could have his very own muscle car to work on and show off. Years go by and he bought his baby, "Becky" a 2003 dark shadow grey Cobra. As the groom was standing next to "Becky" talking to other spectators, the bride was approaching with her co-workers and just knew there was something about him. Little did the bride know her coworkers knew the groom and they were properly introduced. A few months go by when they came across each other's profiles on Facebook. As they begin discussing their passion for cars, deep family values, and love for tacos there was no turning back. They then discovered what an incredible team they made on February 15, 2018, when they changed out "Becky's" supercharger the night before another "Cars and Coffee" meet. Victoria loved a guy who knew his cars and Jono loved a girl who didn't mind getting her hands dirty! Thank you to the coworkers that introduced us and to the Facebook "people you may know" tab! Now, we have our forever partner and soulmate and we are GETTING MARRIED!
A Hawaiian vacation to remember indeed! The bride and groom had planned a much-needed tropical getaway to escape the demands of their everyday lives. What Victoria didn't know is Jono had an engagement ring hidden in his carry-on... Jono knew Hawaii would be the perfect place to propose to his special gal. He picked out the ring of her dreams with the help of his sister Hailey, mom Lisa, and son Kam and got it sized just in time to take it with him. The question now was, how would he propose without her expecting it? After brainstorming with his mom and sister, they came up with the idea of a beach photoshoot! They casually discussed it with the bride and showed her their Hawaiian family photos from a few years prior. She didn't seem to think much of it and thought it would be fun. Hailey then found the dreamy Hawaiian photographer, Johanna Dye (who's gorgeous photos you'll see all over this site!), and made arrangements with her for a beach photoshoot at sunset. The day of the proposal arrived and the couple was greeted on the beach with flowers/leis to wear for their shoot. Johanna is an incredible photographer and made them feel very comfortable while taking their photos. Jono waited for the perfect moment, dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring and asked Victoria to be his forever. The photo of this exact moment shows just how surprised she was! Victoria and Jono describe how they both "blacked out" during the proposal and just remember tears—lots and lots of happy tears.
