Jacob and I’s story began long before romance was ever in the picture. We grew up side by side in Arlington Acres, rode the same school bus, and spent our childhood in that same neighborhood. For years, we were familiar faces in each other’s lives, mutuals who shared memories of the same streets, the same friends, and the same little corner of the world. Fast forward to 2023, when a spark finally lit between us. What started as reconnecting turned into something neither of us could ignore. After a bit of trial and error, the moment of clarity came in 2024. Following a close friend’s wedding, Jacob reached out to me with a realization that watching two people begin a life together had made him certain that I was the person he wanted to start his life with too. Our first “official” date perfectly embodied us… parked in my car outside Jacob’s house, Chick-fil-A in hand, talking and laughing all night. Since then, our relationship has grown through countless movie nights, dance floors, restaurant adventures, travels, and quiet evenings spent enjoying each other’s company. On May 13th, 2025, Jacob proposed. I was swept away by how intimate, romantic, and meaningful the moment was. Together, Jacob and I have more inside jokes than we can count and never fail to make each other laugh. Our love is romantic, mature, and fun all at once, a relationship that makes us feel like kids again while building something strong and lasting. Our journey hasn’t always been simple. We’ve faced challenges, grown individually, and learned that real love takes time, balance, and patience. But through it all, we’ve come back to each other stronger than ever. As we step into this next chapter, we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our love surrounded by the people who have been part of our journey along the way. This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to write the rest of our story together.
