We met while we were both working at Sportsman's Warehouse. We had talked a little, but since we worked on opposite sides of the store, we didn't know each other that well. Ivan would always post his dog, Louise, on his Instagram in hopes that I would comment, and of course, I did. We talked from that afternoon until five the next morning, both of us excited to get to know each other and already completely infatuated. It wasn't more than a couple days that a little play-date for the dogs turned into dinner on the waterfront and bouquets of flowers. We knew from the very beginning we loved each other, and we told each other so only a couple weeks into dating.

We went to go visit some friends up in Tahoe, and we had the most amazing weekend. We spent the entirety of a day out on Lake Tahoe, got to shoot all the guns our California hearts could only yearn for, ate great food, and got to get out into the quiet for just a little bit. Ivan was planning to propose, but all of his plans were getting delayed. On the first day, we left too late for him to propose by the river. He quickly decided proposing on the boat was a terrible idea. We were going to go out to dinner, but ended up cooking at home instead. Finally, on the last day there, we wanted to wake up early to watch the sun rise over the lake. We changed, made coffee, and headed out onto the deck, and Ivan proposed. And now, we're here!

Q: Who made the first move? How? A: Depends on who you ask, but Victoria did! She sent him a message first, asked him for his phone number, and asked him on their first date.  Q: A life goal of ours A: We want to own land some day. Kids, dogs, chickens, and cows. (A highland cow...named Moo-shu...)  Q: The dorkiest thing about us is A: We love to collect Pokémon cards. If we're lucky, we get to spend a whole day hanging out and "hunting," and we make a big deal about opening them when we get home.  Q: Our most memorable date was A: Our first "date" at the dog park! We took Daisy and Louise out to play and hung out for hours. Ivan even brought food and cookies!  Q: Favorite thing to do together A: In general, any alone time is cherished. We love to jam out to music while we drive, watch dumb videos in bed together, and go Pokémon hunting!
