On July 4th 2022, Isaac attended a Fourth of July party hosted by Victoria's younger sister, Claudia, at their family home. Even though Victoria was not in attendance, she was given rave reviews of Isaac by her mom, Cristina, who had spoken with Isaac throughout the party. After multiple attempts to "run into him", Victoria and Isaac officially met at 1771 in downtown Annapolis after a group of friends decided to attend Thursday night karaoke. After a weekend of Victoria and Isaac getting to know each other (and definitely knowing there was more to their relationship), they decided to part ways amicably as friends, as Victoria had just moved to Boston, and Isaac was about to move to Charleston. A few months later, Victoria and Isaac reconnected, and Isaac was invited to the Decker Family Christmas party. After a 9 hour drive from Charleston to woo Victoria (and her entire family that knew exactly why he had made the drive), Isaac and Victoria agreed to give long distance a shot. Between flights from Boston to Charleston, trains to Groton, and then flights to Hawaii, Victoria and Isaac grew their relationship despite the distance. After a year and a half of distance, Victoria moved to Hawaii to live with Isaac briefly before he left for a 7 month deployment. From weekly emails, to the very rare phone call, they persevered through the winter and into the summer, reuniting after 28 weeks apart at a port call in Japan. Isaac came home in the summer of 2025, and a few months later he asked Victoria if she would marry him (she has known the answer to that question since the night they met). We are so excited to spend time with our favorite people over our wedding weekend, and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!
