Bluemont Vineyard

We welcome walk-ins on weekdays but reservations are required for all weekend guests. Outside food and drink are not permitted on the premises. We are a dog-friendly winery, but dogs must remain on a leash or in a carrier at all times. Enjoy patio service in the fresh mountain air, reserve a row in our expansive vineyards or immerse yourself in a farm-to-table culinary experience. Our reservations are designed for both the adventurous and novice wine-lover in mind. Twin Oaks Tavern Winery

The Evers Family caught vineyard fever when traveling through France, Italy, Germany, and Croatia, and in 1999 they decided to plant Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc grapes on the hillside at Twin Oaks. Since their first harvest in 2002, Donna Evers has been the winemaker, and in 2008 the first two wines were offered to the public: Chardonnay and Raven Rocks Red. In keeping with family traditions, the Twin Oaks Vineyard and Cellar operation are managed by Donna’s grandson, Clay McFarren. OPEN THURSDAY-MONDAY 1PM-7PM

Dirt Farm Brewing

Dirt Farm is a working farm nestled on the first ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains with breathtaking views of the Loudoun Valley. Founded in 2012, Dirt Farm is a natural “fermentation” extension of our 400-acre produce farm, Great Country Farms. Bears Den

Nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains and on the Appalachian Trail lies historical Bears Den Lodge. Bears Den is an enchanting stone lodge reminiscent of a European castle, complete with turrets and tower. Among the forested acreage are several lawns and quiet escapes. A main attraction is Bears Den Scenic Rock Overlook, which offers a stunning view of the Shenandoah Valley. Visitors can access the overlook by driving up to the lodge and taking a short stroll down the path to see the view, or by parking in the parking area just off of Route 7 and taking a mild hike up to the overlook. Luray Caverns

Centuries in the making beneath Virginia’s storied Shenandoah Valley, this “must see” U.S. Natural Landmark awaits your discovery. One hour tours, from well-lighted, paved walkways lead visitors through cathedral-sized rooms with ceilings 10 stories high. Enormous chambers are filled with towering columns, shimmering draperies and crystal-clear pools. We are pleased to announce that Luray Caverns is step-free! The steps that lead tours from the Entrance Lobby into the caverns are now bypassed by a looping covered walkway and a 164-foot corridor that was excavated into the hillside adjacent to the Entrance Building. Bring your friends and gather around your own fire pit at Veramar Vineyard. 1 day advanced booking is required. Veramar Vineyard, the Bogaty family’s first winery, opened to the public in 2000, and Justin Bogaty came on as winemaker the next year. From the earliest days of the business, each decision and each project has been done with the goal of creating a sustainable family business that can be passed down from generation to generation. The family believe strongly in investing in the future of their family’s passion and avoiding trends and fads that can distract from their mission of creating world-class, enduring wines. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park

John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry was an effort by abolitionist John Brown, from October 16 to 18, 1859, to initiate a slave revolt in Southern states by taking over the United States arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. It has been called the dress rehearsal for, or Tragic Prelude to, the Civil War. OPEN DAILY 9AM-6PM

Barns of Rose Hill

Experience the charm of two historic barn structures from the early 20th century that have been respectfully restored and renovated into one unique building with superb acoustic engineering and modern amenities to accommodate concerts, exhibits, classes and workshops, films, community programs, private events, and much more. Throughout the year, we offer rotating exhibits in our two galleries. We partner with local, national, and international artists and artisans as well as local schools, community members, and other organizations to showcase art and objects of interest for all to enjoy. Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is open Tuesday through Sunday (closed Monday). Admission includes the galleries, gardens and Glen Burnie House (admission is not required to visit the first floor of the Museum where you can enjoy Art in the Halls and shop in the Museum Store. Please begin your visit in the Museum Lobby where admission tickets are sold. The walk from the Museum to the gardens takes less than five minutes; however, a visit to the site may easily last more than two hours. Sketching is permitted in the galleries. Painting in oil, acrylic, tempera, pastel, or watercolor is permitted in the gardens during public hours. Sketching is also permitted.
