WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

It all started ten years ago at a high school graduation party, where Victoria and Gunther met for the first time. They instantly clicked that evening, exchanged numbers, and just a few days later, Tori invited Gunther to attend church with her—an invitation he gladly accepted (smart move, Gunther). As their friendship blossomed, they began spending more time together. Behind the scenes, Gunther was already planning their first official date: a country concert at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia. That memorable night ended with pancakes, a sweet tradition they’ve continued ever since. One year of dating turned into two, and two into three. They shared high school milestones—attending each other’s proms, vacationing at Gunther’s family cabin in Canada, celebrating their graduations, and cheered each other on as they headed off to college. After their freshman year, they made the tough—but mutual—decision to break up. No drama, no hard feelings. Simply just not the right time. Classic it’s not you, it’s timing. Looking back, they now see that season as part of God’s perfect plan. Gunther graduated from Liberty University and returned home to Maryland to begin his career and pursue his passions. After transferring to Grand Canyon University in Arizona, Tori graduated and moved back to Maryland—only to find herself returning to Arizona just a year later — working, traveling, and deepening friendships both old and new, building a life she loved. Then came the summer of 2022. Tori moved home… again. And who does she “just so happen” to run into at church on Sunday? None other than Gunther James Guay himself. He made a beeline for her, pulled her aside, and explained that he just had to sit down to talk to her. And the rest? Well, that’s the next chapter. To start their next chapter, Tori and Gunther officially began dating (again!) on December 2, 2023. In 2024, they took an unforgettable trip to Canada and explored several Northeastern states along the way. Their engagement came after a full day of adventuring up Mount Washington—riding a historic steam engine to the summit, where they were blessed with a rare, crystal-clear view. After making their way back down the mountain, Gunther had one more surprise: a stay at the stunning Omni Mount Washington Resort. That evening, after getting ready for dinner, they walked to the back of the resort where Gunther got down on one knee, ring in hand, and asked Tori to be his wife. Through joyful tears, she gave an enthusiastic “yes!” In just ten short months, they found themselves planning a wedding. And now, nearly eleven months after that unforgettable proposal, they're getting ready to walk down the aisle this September—eager to begin the next beautiful chapter in their story.
