What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

You should arrive no later than X:XXpm for the wedding ceremony

Will there be parking at the ceremony/reception sites?

Answer

There is limited parking at the church for the ceremony, and plenty of parking at the steam train for the reception. We would recommend parking at the steam train early and carpooling over to the church for the ceremony.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

No, the ceremony will be held at The First Baptist Church of Essex, the Reception will be at The Essex Steam Train.

Are pictures allowed to be taken during ceremony/reception?

Answer

Yes! Everyone is encouraged to take their own photos and there will be a QR code provided to share and access all photos taken during the wedding.

What is the dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional/cocktail attire for the ceremony and dinner, with the reception being masquerade themed. It is highly encouraged to bring your own mask for the reception but some will be available to use.

Are plus one's allowed?

Plus one's will be specified on mailed invitations if they are allowed for individuals.

Is the wedding child friendly?

Answer

The ceremony is child friendly. The dinner train can accommodate children that can sit in normal chairs or on a parent's lap, high chairs will not be available

Will the dinner be seated or buffet style?

Answer

The dinner will be sit down and served on the dinner train. Meal options are listed below, and need to be made by XX/XX/XX -Prime rib with horseradish butter and au jus, served with hasselback potatoes and broccolini -Chicken Coq au Vin with airline chicken breast, hasselback potatoes and broccolini -Roasted shrimp, sea scallops & mussels with saffron beurre blanc, served over yukon gold roasted potatoes and broccolini, served with a toasted rosemary panko crisp garnish -Stuffed eggplant – mushroom mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, caramelized shallots with a toasted rosemary panko crisp garnish

The the ceremony, dinner, and reception will be indoors.

What time is the dinner train?

Answer

The dinner train will be departing promptly at 4:30pm, so please arrive by 4:00pm to board and find your seat.

Will there be assigned seating on the train?

Answer

Yes, seats will be assigned in one of two train cars for the dinner.

Will it be a cash bar or open bar?

There will be an open bar at the reception, with drinks available for purchase on the train*.
