How we met

Winding Roads

We first met when we were both in high school at a party where I knew no one. I went with my friend Lindsay to her hometown to meet some of her friends, one of them being George. I didn't think anything of it and life went on. About 8 years later Lindsay contacted me saying George might be interested in meeting me. I told her he could contact me if he wanted. 2 weeks later he was making an hour and a half drive to take me out to dinner in my hometown where we ate chicken caesar wraps and i made fun of him for putting ketchup on top of his fries. Now we are getting married!!

The proposal

Greek enough?

George and I planned a trip to Greece to visit his mother and other relatives on that side of the world. We had been counting down the months and were so excited! George knew I wanted to be surprised and have no idea the proposal was coming so he reassured me several times getting engaged in Greece was NOT an option; and I believed him. We did a lot of sight seeing on our trip but one of the most memorable stops was the acropolis. It was 100 degrees out that day and we were both sweating like crazy! But we got to the very top and the view and history behind it all was absolutely breathtaking. George handed his phone to his mother and asked her to take a picture of us in front of the parthenon and next thing I know he is on one knee while she is recording every second. I could not have been more surprised.
