Built by a wealthy merchant family in the 13th century, the villa has a rich and storied past. Boccaccio, one of the earliest authors of the Italian renaissance, wrote a story about the villa and its owner in his Decameron, which was published in 1353.

Duomo di Amalfi; Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea is a medieval Roman Catholic cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo, in Amalfi. Built in the 9th century, it has been added to and redecorated several times, overlaying Arab-Norman, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque elements, and finally a new 19th century Norman-Arab-Byzantine facade.
If you’re in search of a beach with incredible scenery, head to the town of Furore, where a gigantic fjord opens up to create its very own hidden beach. The narrow bay of the fjord invites those who decide to descend down the long staircase leading to the bottom to enjoy the inlet. A bridge that spans the length of the fjord allows you to look down and get a magnificent view above the area.
