Both of us started working in a bookstore in the fall of 2015. It was the first couple of weeks before Victoria noticed the cute bearded guy at the front desk and went to introduce herself, rambling about nicknames a-hundred-miles-a-minute with her hand stretched out for a handshake. A very stunned Cody looked back and could only think to mumble "ok", before leaving the store that day. Needless to say Victoria felt embarrassed, but little did she know that the very introverted Cody was beginning a crush on the sparkly, chaotic girl with a thousand nicknames. The next shift they shared together they were made to shelve the same cart of books and eventually started looking forward to work more for each other than the books!

Our favorite date place is the botanical garden, Gibbs Gardens, a hidden gem of a garden with lots of wild nature and quiet places to talk. On one of these dates, in our special spot on a secluded bridge, Victoria looked back from the pond to where Cody was kneeling and audibly gasped! Cody had brought the ring with him knowing he'd realize when the time was right to pop the question, and here was that moment! The beautiful speech he gave was all a blur to Victoria as she said "YES" in a daze! Luckily he filmed it so they can always replay her shocked expression. It was the perfect day!
