Yes. We understand that this is a short notice wedding and although we would love to have everyone we invite attend, we understand that travel and accomodations can be a lot. If you are only able to attend the reception in Menifee we would be more than grateful for that. Or vice versa.
Yes, since our ceremony is inside a national park, the park service requires and entrance fee of $35 per vehicle. If you have an "America the Beautiful" National Park Pass, the pass would cover entry into Yosemite National Park.
No. The ceremony is only a short walk from the Cathedral Beach parking lot to the ceremony location, no hiking is necessary!
Please arrive at Cathedral Beach at 1:30pm, the ceremony will start promptly at 2:00pm.
Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception is encouraged. Suits, button up shirts, cocktail dresses are welcome but be sure to dress comfortable since it's fairly warm this time of year in Yosemite/Southern California.
For the ceremony there is parking available on a first come first served basis at Cathedral Beach picnic area. We have at least 8 spaces reserved for the ceremony so try to carpool if possible. There is also a free shuttle system that provides transportation to all major locations in the valley. Visit this link for more info on the shuttle system: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/publictransportation.htm The reception location will have street parking available in the neighborhood. No parking fees are required at either location.
Lodging in Yosemite Valley would be close to the ceremony but it is very limited. Availability in the valley constantly changes but as of now the only option would be a tent cabin in Curry Village. Visit the following link for more info on lodging in the valley: https://www.travelyosemite.com/lodging/yosemite-lodging-experience# Surrounding towns in Fish Camp, Oakhurst, and Groveland would be next closest areas for hotels/lodges. Allow at least 1-1.5 hours travel if driving from these locations. Be aware traveling through the park is slow and can get congested especially at the entrance locations.
We will send out additional info as it gets closer but the day after the ceremony (September 11th), we plan to do a breakfast and a hike somewhere in the park, our guests are welcome to join us! Friends are also welcome to join Victoria at Disneyland on Friday September 12th, before the reception.
We are not registering gifts anywhere. If you'd like to give a gift consider donating to our linked honeymoon/newlywed fund. We understand the travel to Yosemite and Menifee is expensive so we truly do not expect any gifts!
Kids are welcome at the reception in Menifee, but we'd prefer the ceremony to be adults only because of the small setting. Exceptions can definitely be made, just reach out to us!
