Moody Gardens

Moody Gardens

1 Hope Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77554

This place is great! During the day play a round of golf or visit the rain forest or world class aquarium (or any of the other family friendly attractions), and in the evening the view from 9th floor overlooking the bayou with a Galveston sunset is not to be missed.

Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood

Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood

7809 Broadway Street, Galveston, TX 77554

Upscale Steakhouse at the local marina. Impeccable Service. Inside fine dining or they have a patio when the weather is nice with a few more bar bite options. The burger here and the burger at Mac-ie's are always neck and neck for the best burger. This is also where we went after the proposal - sunsets here can be incredible!

Gaido's

Gaido's

3828 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77550

If you had to pick one restaurant on the island, go here. They have the best seafood on the Island, have been serving Galveston since 1911. They too have view of the beach and everything on the menu is guaranteed to be a delish!

Miller's Seawall Grill

Miller's Seawall Grill

1824 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77550
, 409-763-8777

Tori says to go here for home country cookin' and brunch. Brett compares this place to an east coast diner. Whatever you like, this place is always a winner. There aren't too many places that serve mimosas, chicken friend steak, pot roast, mozzarella sticks, and crab cakes benedict for breakfast, which is one of the reasons this place rocks! Bonus points for Miller's having a view of the water.

MAC-IES & Galveston Bagel Company

MAC-IES & Galveston Bagel Company

1110 23rd Street, Galveston, TX 77550

One of the best, if not the best, burger on the island (Number 13 below is the other best burger). There aren't a lot of frills to it, but if you're struggling in the morning this is the place to go! In the same building is the Galveston Bagel Company which is pretty self explanatory, but their bagels rock (especially the pizza bagel)!

Darlene's Shrimp Shack

Darlene's Shrimp Shack

1727 61st Street, Galveston, TX 77551

Don't overlook this food truck - this is the place for fried shrimp! Grab a bite at their picnic tables overlooking the Bayou, and say hi to one or two pelicans.
