We're getting married!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Typically in love stories, there is some sort of bold action. Example: guy sees girl across the bar and buys her a drink. Unconventionally for us, that bold action took literal years in the making. In October 2016, we matched on Tinder (fun fact: August was Victoria’s third match and the first boy she messaged). Though we didn’t meet in person for over a year and half, we finally agreed to go out on a date to see Black Panther on Valentine’s weekend 2018. Shortly thereafter, August graduated from UT (hook‘em horns) and moved to Houston to start his big boy job. We navigated long distance for two years, which was ended by a certain pandemic. After Victoria graduated (yeehaw!) and got into graduate school, we picked up our lives and moved over 1308 miles away from home to make a new home here in Charlottesville. We’ve seen our family grow by two cats and many books, and after being engaged for 2.5 years, we’re getting married! We are beyond excited to celebrate our love with all y’all soon (and for our Texas friends to see fall)! Much love and excitement, Victoria & August
