Like many modern couples, our journey began online, quickly blossoming into something special. Our first date was an unforgettable adventure-- strolling through downtown Bathhouse Row and exploring the breathtaking Hot Springs National Park. Dustin's charming insistence on capturing our moment with Old Time Portraits led to a delightful experience. I chose the Gangster and Barmaid theme, and he looked incredibly handsome! This magical first date serves as the inspiration for our wedding in Eureka Springs...
After careful consideration, we decided to keep our wedding simple and intimate. With our friends and family spread across several states and with the current economic climate, we believe its best to focus on a private ceremony. This choice allows us to invest more in a beautiful honeymoon. We hope this decision won't hurt anyone's feelings-- what matters most is the love we share...
We are thrilled to hold our ceremony at Crescent Spring in charming downtown Eureka Springs. Crescent Spring was revered for its healing waters and features a unique, picturesque ornate wood gazebo with copper clad roof constructed in 1886. Crescent Spring, now dry, was once one of the most popular sources on Spring Street, so much so that it was given a sheltering gazebo. The gazebo is a visual delight with its graceful flared copper-covered roof, its two tiers separated by a band of narrow circular windows, and wooden X-trusses connecting the six wood posts. Landscaped areas surround the gazebo, and stone steps on its north side lead up the hillside to the Crescent Hotel. As we exchange our vows in this beautiful setting, we embrace the rich history that surrounds us, symbolizing renewal and the promise of our future together. We can't wait to share this heartfelt moment with our loved ones, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Crescent Spring in the heart of Historic Eureka Springs... Our Attire: I will be wearing a lovely dusty plum velvet dress complemented by a delicate lace underskirt peeking out, paired with tall suede boots. My jewelry includes a stunning abalone statement necklace with matching earrings. My engagement ring is an exquisite amethyst solitaire in sterling silver, and my wedding band is a delicate art deco stack encrusted with amethysts. Dustin will be dashing in a brown wool tweed vest and pants, paired with a white collared shirt, topped off with a stylish pageboy cap. His ring features an art deco design in sterling silver with encrusted amethyst accents. We can't wait to embark on this beautiful journey together and look forward to sharing the memories with all of you! Afterwards we will have a little cake, and non-alcoholic toast at the nearby picnic area.
To beautifully bookend our courtship, we chose to celebrate with a fun photoshoot at Judge Roy Beans Old Time Photos & Weddings, right after our intimate ceremony at Calif Spring. It was a perfect way to capture the essence of our love! After exchanging vows, we will stroll a couple of blocks (12 minute walk- mostly flat) down the street to enjoy our 1920s style photoshoot! I am bringing my own dress- a plum sequined gown with a floor length chiffon underskirt, complete with elbow length gloves and all the accessories. Dustin will donn a few accessories transforming his tweed suit into a 1920s style with his pageboy cap and pocket watch. The wedding party are invited! For a $20 sitting fee, $20 per 8x10 print and $10 costume fee each- you can use the costumes available or ask me for some ideas if you want to bring your own costume. I’d prefer that guests choose RoseGold and Brown Tweed so we all go together. We need to know at least 2 weeks ahead of time to make sure we have time as the venue closes at 5pm.
After all the fun at the Photo Shoot, consider joining us (still in costume) as we walk across the street to the Pied Piper Inn and Cat House Lounge. The menu is typical for a bar and grill atmosphere. And entree prices range from $10-$20 according to their website. Please be prepared to cover your own bill.
We've created a registry to help guide those who wish to celebrate with us! You can find it right here on our website by clicking on "Registry" at the top of this page. If you're viewing this on your phone, just tap the little hamburger icon in the top right corner. While we truly appreciate any kindness you might extend, please know we don't expect gifts. Our registry simply reflects some essentials we need and colors we love. Thank you for considering us as you share in our joy!
