Victoria and Thomas met in 2021, fresh out of the pandemic, while both working for TCU. Thomas managing the basketball program and Victoria overseeing the players’ nutrition. Thanks to social distancing, they worked together for nearly a year before ever meeting in person. Their first almost meeting came during recruit season, when Thomas asked Victoria to help with a recruiting visit. She couldn’t make it, so instead she sent him a video recording of herself. From that moment on, the please-and-thank-yous increased, the work became in-person, and the connection quietly grew. After the season tip-off party at Lot 12, Thomas finally worked up the courage to ask Victoria on a date, to her favorite dinner-and-drinks spot, Fireside Pies. A Grapefruit Ricky sealed the deal, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Four years later, after carefully overthinking every detail (very on brand), Thomas proposed in a moment Victoria never saw coming, surrounded by both of their families and closest friends. They celebrated exactly where it all began, back at Lot 12.
