When people tell a love story it normally sounds like a fairy tale I’m here to tell you our story was nothing of the sort when we met we both were broken and not looking for a serious relationship he was your typical guy who thought he found an easy girl but to his surprise I was anything but after two weeks he finally called to offer a proper first date I reluctantly accepted and the story began we were just friends nothing more hanging out all the time getting to know each other sharing thoughts and Ideas and I know this sounds like a fairy tale but after awhile we both began having much deeper feelings I can’t speak for him but I was resolved to tuck my feelings away because there was no way I was opening my heart and being that vulnerable with yet another man fast forwarding to that one night I decided to host our date night and cook I went all out but hey that’s just me right at least I thought it was simple but to him it was obviously much more after our meal he decided to my surprise to say I love you I was taken back and honestly tried to talk him off that ledge but he just kept going and normally here in the story you would no the rest but you really don’t to be candid after the short lived honey moon things went straight to hell maybe you’re wondering then why are you still together here’s the good part the reason why we have asked you all to come and celebrate with us we are having this celebration not just because we love each other but because we are each others best friend we compliment one another we challenge one another we’ve grown and healed together we definitely have gone through all of the hardest test that any relationship could and we made it not by pretending that it never happened but holding each other and ourselves accountable always working on being a better version of ourselves understanding that we are yes a team yet still very much individuals with our own set of needs we’ve learned to not depend on each other for our own happiness I could go on and possibly start a master class on building a lasting bond with your spouse but I’ll end it he is my better half and I am his and those are not just words for us that is supposed to describe your ideal mate we truly have taken the time to understand what that truly means…… Just so you know the story isn’t over yet!!!!!!!!
