Although we'd love to have your kids join for the wedding, logistically we can't. Feel free to come to Akumal with them and bring them to the other gatherings though! We just discovered that the Grand Sirenis offers a kids club free of charge from 9a-7p. After that, a babysitter may be hired at additional costs. Hope this helps!
Yes, Mexico is safe. Just be smart and you'll be fine. Our wedding grounds are being held inside the gated community of Grand Sirenis. We hope you will all stay within this community so that you are a short drive/walk to our events. **If you rent a car, be aware of gas station attendants trying to swap bills you hand them to a smaller bill to make it seem like you owe them more. Count out loud the amount of each bill you hand over when you pay them. They're sneaky but it’s pretty much the only trouble we encountered in Mexico.
Unfortunately not. The taxi companies have made UBER and Lyft unusable options. But there are plenty of taxi cab companies. A one way ride from Cancun airport to Grand Sirenis gated community will cost about $1400 MXN pesos or around $70 USD.

There are many supermarkets in the Cancun or Playa del Carmen area. One that is on the way and closest to the Grand Sirenis neighborhood coming from Cancun airport is Super Chedraui in Puerto Aventuras. Here is the location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jcbGqELmoY1ijS6P9?g_st=ic
Yes, there is a place called ‘La Grill’ it has burgers, quesadillas, wings etc. There is also an OXXO, which is similar to a 7-11. You can buy eggs, tortillas, beer, ice and other basic goods here. Outside of the neighborhood there are tons of delicious restaurants in the Tulum, Akumal or Playa del Carmen area.
