Victor's POV: We were introduced by a mutual friend who happens to be MJ's best friend(shoutout to you, Ugochi!!), and we did not get off to the best start. We had too many arguments initially, and I thought to myself, "Why am I fighting with someone I am not in a relationship with?" so I decided to distance myself. It also did not help that I had just gotten out of a long-distance relationship and I was determined not to get into another one. Long story short, I moved to Texas, and truly as the cliche says...the rest is history. God has blessed me with the best gift!! Maryjane's POV: I was just minding my own business, lol, when my best friend said she wanted me to meet one of her old friends. At the time, I wasn't interested since I was going through the final stages of a breakup and just wanted to read books and pass nursing school. Fast forward, I met him, and after chatting for a while, I thought he was okay, but just too serious for me—talk about nonchalance! 😩 We started talking on and off, and it was long distance. At first, I didn't think anything would come of it, especially since we were always arguing😂😂 One day, after a fight, I was in prayer, and I told God that this man would be my husband. I laughed at myself afterward, but I knew I was serious. Our fights were different; even during the fights, he showed love, he was calm, he respected me as a person, he was gentle! and understanding. He taught me patience! Phew! It takes a lot of patience to work with me 😂😂! It was a different sort of norm; fast forward: he relocated to Texas! He's the finest choice I've ever made, and that's all I can say! I couldn't have asked God for a better partner!
