We both knew that this date was different than the rest. Annie knew after the first date that she was going to marry this handsome guy she had just met. Victor was still trying to figure out why Annie shot his first kiss down but he has since been able to plant many more.

On Annie's 35th birthday Victor surprised her with a weekend trip to Catalina Island. Annie had been patiently waiting for Victor to propose and she thought maybe this was it. We rented a golf cart to tour the island and had stopped at the overlook at the top to take photos. Annie turned around and there was Victor on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. Before he could finish what he was saying Annie screamed yes (after she asked if he was being serious or not).
