We went down to Lake Geneva to celebrate my birthday, little did I know Josh was planning to ask me to marry him with an elaborate plan. When we got to the hotel to check in they asked if we would like to join a contest to win a photo shoot. Of course I said yes (I tend to win random things a lot) we entered this contest and they said they would contact us the follow day if we were the winners. We went about our stay, eating tasty food and celebrating my birthday. The next day Josh got a text saying we won the contest! I was so excited! The next morning was the photo shoot before we left to come back home. It was chilly and gloomy out but we didn't mind. The photographer showed up and said "I'm going to take 3 basic poses of you guys" then directed us where to stand and how to pose. During the last pose we were back to back and he had me turn around and Josh was down on one knee. I was so surprised and shocked! Of course I said YES! We were then able to get our amazing engagement photos done right then and there. Now we can't wait for everyone to be with us to celebrate the beginning of our lives together.
