Vicki and Jazib met on a Friday their freshman year at the University of Florida in front of Little Hall. They were both leaving their classes: Vicki on her own, and Jazib with their mutual friend, Meaghan. She introduced the two and they hit it off right away!

Their friendship consisted mostly of group outings until spring break sophomore year when Jazib offered to give Vicki a ride home. That ride was full of shared stories, interests, and laughter. It was a fitting start to a forever friendship. On Jazib’s birthday, after one year of friendship, Vicki gave him a homemade book documenting that year. Their years of friendship have been packed with countless movies, lots of games, too many surprise parties, and several platonic adventures.

Jazib and Vicki were in Gainesville celebrating her sister Elanna’s graduation from their Alma Matter. Jazib suggested that he, Vicki, her brother Michael, Elanna, their friend Bryan, and their dog Nemo go for a walk around campus. Vicki was very reluctant but eventually gave in. When they got to Little Hall, everyone came up with an excuse to disperse until it was just the two of them. Jazib pulled out a book he made documenting their 10 years of friendship. When she finished reading he got down on one knee and asked a question that was a long time coming. She said yes.
