Maria and I share a love for music and started a vinyl collection a little while back. For our Welcome Dinner on Friday, we'd love for you to bring a vinyl that means a lot to you or that you simply would like to gift us. We cannot wait to gather a collection of the music loved by those that matter most to us!
Black Tie We’re envisioning a cottage chic celebration: elevated, romantic, and thoughtfully styled. We encourage guests to dress to impress. Think polished silhouettes, rich autumn tones, and natural textures inspired by the Northwoods. Earthy neutrals, reds, browns, and creams are especially welcome. Ceremony and dinner reception will be held outdoors while dancing will be hosted indoors. Light jackets and shawls are encouraged. While the wedding is Black Tie, the venue includes some outdoor areas and uneven terrain. We recommend choosing footwear with a sturdy sole such as block heels, wedges, low heels, or flats to ensure you can comfortably enjoy the celebration.
Your presence on our special day is truly the most important thing to us. If you feel called to give something, we’re incredibly grateful and have shared a registry on the registry tab for you to browse.
It is still a bit early to tell, but mid October in northern Wisconsin is typically crisp and beautiful. Expect cool mornings and evenings with mild daytime temperatures in the 50s to low 60s. Weather can shift quickly so layers are encouraged, especially for outdoor moments. We recommend planning for cooler temperatures after sunset and possibly bringing a jacket or shawl to stay comfortable.
Our wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 10th in the afternoon. We’d love for you to arrive by Thursday or early Friday to be able able to join us for welcome activities Friday afternoon and dinner on Friday evening.
There are several great airport options depending on your travel plans. Rhinelander–Oneida County Airport (RHI) is the closest and most convenient, though it typically requires a connecting flight. Additional options include Wausau (CWA, about a 1 hour drive), Madison (MSN, about a 3 hour drive), Milwaukee (MKE, about a 3.5 hour drive), and Minneapolis (MSP, about a 4 hour drive). If flying into one of the farther airports, you will need to arrange a rental car.
Most likely, yes. Having a car will be the most convenient way to get around and attend the weekend’s events. We will share a group thread closer to the date so guests can coordinate carpools and shared rides if helpful. If you are flying into Rhinelander, we are also working with a local rental car company. Please reach out to Maria to arrange.
For guests traveling from out of town, we have coordinated a collection of Airbnb stays for the weekend. The cost is $275 per person for the full weekend, and we will share your specific lodging details closer to the event. If you prefer to arrange your own accommodations, we are happy to provide recommendations for nearby options.
