We’re getting married!

We met in the unpredictable, high-energy world of Young Life during our sophomore and junior years of high school. You could say it was love at first wink. For those who know the legend of the Rockbridge trip and the "winking game," you know the stakes—but for us, that wink was the start of something much more permanent. At 15 and 16 years old, the connection was an instant rush, the kind of spark that neither of us realized would become the heartbeat of our lives. Over the last twelve years, we have lived a lifetime of "firsts" together. We survived the halls of high school, the ache of being apart for college, the hustle of Northern Virginia, and the unprecedented stillness of COVID-19. Along the way, we expanded our little family by adopting Piper, Zuko and Cowboy. They have been our greatest joys, though they’ve certainly done their part in making us lose sleep and giving us our first few grey hairs from the stress of their antics. Our journey has been a literal roller coaster—full of laughter, tears and love. Growing up together meant seeing each other at our absolute best, our most vulnerable, and every mundane moment in between. We didn't just fall in love; we stayed in love through every version of ourselves. We are so incredibly grateful to be here today, all these years later, knowing that while we’ve come so far, our story is only just beginning.
