Vibhuti had just moved to New Jersey to pursue a new job at Express Scripts, when she matched with Om on Hinge. From then on, it was non stop texting and facetiming until they finally decided to meet at a Mexican restaurant. There they talked about movies, hobbies, work, and everything in between. Not wanting the night to end, they went to a bar nearby where they stayed until closing time. After that, well, the rest is history.

Om had convinced Vibhuti that they were going to a friend's reception party months prior. After dropping their bags off at a hotel in New York City, he told her that they were meeting his best friend Neil in Central Park to get pictures before the party. As they stopped to take pictures of the pond, a woman came over, and asked them if they wanted to get their pictures taken. Just as Vibhuti (who thought it was it a scam) was about to say no, Om said yes. When Vibhuti turned to look at him, Om pulled out the ring box and asked "Will you marry me?" After bursting into tears and saying yes, they did their photo-shoot around Central Park. Vibhuti still thought they were going to the friend's reception party so she was thoroughly surprised when they got to Draught 55 and saw all their friends and family waiting to surprise them.
