Question

How should I pack for Costa Rica?

Answer

Costa Rica is warm and tropical year-round, and we’ll be staying in the middle of a lush rainforest so expect heat, humidity, and rain. We recommend light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes (for uneven and sometimes muddy terrain), sandals, a swimsuit, and a light rain jacket. Don’t forget bug spray, sunscreen and a flashlight will help you at night to navigate the grounds. Pack for comfort, nature, and a bit of adventure—you’ll be right in the heart of the rainforest!

Question

Is there any phone signal to make calls or send messages?

Answer

Cell service in the area is very limited, as we’re deep in the rainforest. However, the bungalows and ranch do have free WiFi available, so you’ll still be able to stay connected when needed.

Question

Does the Ranch provide food?

Answer

Yes! The ranch offers delicious Costa Rican-style meals throughout your stay, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a bar on-site where you can enjoy drinks and relax after a day of exploring.

Question

Does the ranch have other activities not listed in the 'Schedule' or 'Things to Do'?

Answer

Yes! You’ll find warm and cool pools, a pond for fishing, and a mountain hike to The Mirador with stunning views of the surrounding rainforest. They also offer a day time Ranch Tour where they'll show you how the run a completely organic, ecofriendly and sustainable ranch.

Question

Does the Ranch have Air Conditioning?

Answer

No, the ranch does not have air conditioning. However, it stays naturally cool at night thanks to the rainforest setting. We recommend bringing a portable fan if you like extra airflow while you sleep.

Question

How do I get to Rancho Margot?

Answer

As soon as we have all the RSVP's we'll send more details on transportation offered to get to the Ranch.

Question

Are kids allowed at the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! Kids are welcome to celebrate with us. We know many of our guests are making a family trip out of our destination wedding. Once the reception turns into more of an adult party, we kindly encourage parents to use their best judgment for the little ones.

Question

I was hoping to stay at the Ranch, but it looks like it’s already fully booked. What would you recommend I do?

Answer

Because many of our family members and wedding party will be staying at the Ranch, room availability is very limited. The bunkhouse may still be available if you don’t mind shared facilities. We’ve included a list of some of our favorite nearby hotels and accommodations to help with your stay, and there are also plenty of great Airbnb options around the area.
