Our story begins September 2014, with us and a fairly large group of friends heading to an outdoor concert in Oregon. When I first saw Vi I thought she was really pretty with beautiful eyes, but I didn’t know her and it was too loud to introduce myself. Then, while waiting to get inside the venue, something made me laugh hysterically and I heard Vi say “who has that cute laugh?”... Our friends that knew me and heard her say that all had to pick their jaws up from the floor because my laugh has numerous adjectives that can be associated with it, but cute is not one of them. After that, we were officially introduced and started to become acquaintances throughout that weekend. We remained in contact with each other and became friends and found out how many similar interests we had. Over time we got closer, saw each other at more gatherings (which was hard because I lived in Oak Harbor and she lived in Auburn), and 9 months later during a bachelor/bachelorette adventure in Las Vegas, we officially became a couple. 10 months after that, I got a new job, bought a home in Lynnwood, and Vi moved in months later. Fast forward to 2/17/18 after many more adventures and memories, in our home with Vi still in her pajamas, pimple cream still on her face, I presented her with a book that had bits and pieces of things we experienced through the years and I asked her with tears rolling down my cheeks “will you marry me?” and she said “Yes”
