We first met back at Wichita State University, where we were both pre-pharmacy majors. Though we knew of each other, it wasn’t until years later that we finally connected. Our first date was at the beginning of the pandemic when restaurants were closed— so we kept it simple with a takeout night in Blade’s basement. It was a mix of interesting and awkward, and honestly, we almost didn’t go out again…until Blade went in for a kiss, which changed everything. From then on, we couldn’t imagine our lives without each other. Not long after, Blade moved to Nashville for residency, and with that came the challenge of long-distance. It was exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time, but we were committed to making it work. We did our best to see each other often, and Nashville quickly became a city close to both our hearts. When Blade moved back to Wichita in 2021, we took the next big step and moved in together. Blade’s love for hiking brought us on so many beautiful adventures—something neither of us could’ve anticipated early on. We’ve traveled together, explored countless trails, and made so many memories, but one of the most special was our road trip through the Northeast to see the fall foliage. That’s where Blade proposed, surrounded by vibrant autumn colors, and it was the perfect moment. Now, here we are, about to tie the knot and celebrate this day with all of you in one of the most breathtaking landscapes we know. We chose Montana not just for its beauty but because it reflects our journey together—our love for adventure, nature, and all the incredible places we’ve yet to explore. We can’t wait to share this moment with all of you, surrounded by nature —exactly how we’ve dreamed of starting our lives together.
