Book your flight to Philadelphia (PHL), then rent a car or get a Rideshare to Middletown, DE. Depending on traffic, it should take about 45 minutes to an hour to get to your hotel, our house, or the wedding venue from the airport.
There are two hotels near First State Brewery, the Fairfield Inn & Suites (Marriott) and the Holiday Inn Express. Each has special rates for our wedding. You can access them in the travel section of our website. To get the special rates you must book the Holiday Inn Express by August 1 and the Fairfield Inn by August 5.
If you miss the deadline to reserve a hotel room in our block, reach out to one of the hotels and mention our wedding anyway. They may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our "Where to Stay" page.
The wedding and reception will both be at First State Brewing Company in Middletown, Delaware. The address is 109 Patriot Dr. Middletown, DE 19709. We'll be indoors for the ceremony and the reception. Though, if the weather is nice, we'll be dancing on the patio.
The hotels are about a 5 minute drive to First State Brewery. We haven't arranged a shuttle service, but it is an easy drive or ride share trip.
Yes, First State Brewing Company has a large parking lot that they share with a fitness club, so parking should be easy.
The attire is late summer chic. We're dressing up! And we want you to be comfortable and beautiful in your own unique way. One caveat, Mark will not be wearing a tie.
The wedding will start at 3 pm on Saturday, September 5. Please plan to arrive between 2:30 and 2:45 so you can find your seat before the ceremony starts. We'll have water and non-alcoholic beverages available before the wedding so you can stay hydrated.
You'll have a chicken, fish or vegetarian option for your meal, and we'll have similar options in appetizers. You'll also be able to indicate dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Yes, we're getting married in a brewery! We'll have an open bar with beer, wine and limited cocktails, plus non-alcoholic beverages.
