ATX Cocina
Fresh Mexico City cuisine that will blow your mind. If you've never had chef style Mexican food, this is a must visit. In fact, it's almost always on our itinerary when people come to Austin. Make sure to make a reservation, because this bad boy fills up quick.
Terry Black's Barbecue
Good 'ole fashioned Texas-style BBQ. More meat and sides than you can finish, but then you have to order a banana pudding to top it all off.
Loro
Literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but we love the chicken karaage, the crunchy cabbage salad, and the famous ribs (these sell out, so go early!) Also, give the sake slushie a try, you won't regret it.
Pinthouse Pizza
House made pizza rolls. I truly don't need to say more, but they also happen to be one of our go-to breweries for amazing inventive beers. They're know for their Hazy IPAs, but also serve cider and wine for the non-beer drinkers.
Summer Moon Coffee
Famous for their "Moon Milk" creamer that's made in house and has a top secret formula. We recommend the 1/2 Winter Moon for iced coffee lovers- not too sweet but SO good. As you can see, it's also dog friendly ;)
Bouldin Acres
Tons of outdoor space, pickleball courts, a dog park, a kid park, and beer buckets. It's ideal Austin, and always a great time.
Floppy Disk Repair Co.
This is a speakeasy for the books. You need a code to enter, which changes every month and can't be found online. We'll post it here for you VIPs at the start of September (shh, don't tell).
Rainey Street
This is a bar street full of quant bungalows turned bar-houses. If you go during the day or on a weeknight, it's a nice place to hang outside, have a drink, and listen to music. On weekend nights, get ready for swarms of partiers.
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
Just one of the most iconic spots to visit in Austin. Pro tips: entry tickets are $5, and no food or drinks are allowed inside
Zilker Park
Grab a picnic, a blanket, and enjoy the best dog park in Austin. You can also walk along the river for some great nature views.
Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail
One of the best views of the city and the Colorado River you can find in Austin. We recommend starting at the Austin American Statesman and walking to the right for the views you see in the photo. The riverwalk starts as a trail and turns into an above-water metal walkway (look for the turtles!). There's also a section of the trail that starts from Zilker Park if you're already there!
