We're Getting Married!

Brandon and I met in our junior year of high school. One of my earliest memories is sitting in homeroom with him and him taking my phone to put his number in it. To say that the interest was mutual would not be the truth. If you ask Brandon I was the meanest person and I can't say that I disagree. However, it just took me a little longer to see what Brandon saw all along. That we were perfect for each other. Eight years later here we are!!

The day before my birthday we headed to Myrtle Beach for our annual summer trip with Brandon's family. I brought up the topic of getting engaged a lot (ask literally anyone I know). However, in this point in time I was expecting nothing. Once we arrived everything was going as it usually does unpacking, grocery shopping, etc. Once we settled I noticed Brandon kept going up to the front to get ice but never coming back with ice. Still the last thing on my mind was a proposal. A little later Brandon's mom and his brother-in-law went for a walk on the beach. I went inside the camper to ask Brandon if we could go and he insisted waiting a few minutes (Still expecting nothing). We finally headed towards the beach and as we approached everyone his dad pointed towards the water and there stood 5 people with signs spelling out "Rachel Will You Marry Me" and when I turned back Brandon was on one knee. I was in complete shock and didn't even realize those 5 people where my closest friends from home who he had set up to be here. Not only for this moment but for my birthday and a few days following. It was more than I could have dreamed of and I can't wait to marry my best friend!
