We once attended a wedding where in the speech, the bridesmaid told the couple "Your marriage doesn't fit societies' standards for a relationship, but that's okay." Payton and I looked at each other and said, "I guess they haven't met us." Our story...is anything but normal. Payton and I met at our former Crossfit gym in Virginia. The owner of the gym set us up and one breakfast date later....well, the rest is history. Now...if only our story was as simple as falling in love over breakfast. Instead, it includes an epic adventure where Payton was in Texas, then Virginia, then Maryland, then Virginia, then North Carolina, then back to Maryland all over the course of a few months. This of course all happened at the beginning of our relationship. With all his travels, we knew one thing, we wanted to be together. So we made a crazy life decision and we decided to get married. So... Step 1: Call parents Step 2: Go to Colorado and have both families meet Step 3: Get engaged on New Years Eve (fun fact: a possum photo bombed our engagement) Step 4: Courthouse Wedding in Norfolk, VA Step 5: Plan an actual wedding ceremony (actually....by now it's been four wedding ceremonies...) After we got married, we got stationed in Maryland. Now...lo and behold, we will be moving to Florida. After all the craziness of our first year of marriage, because it's been anything BUT normal, we wish to have a simple and sweet ceremony. The venue we've chosen is one we both fell in love with when we took a trip out to Florida. For the first time in almost a year, we both relaxed, enjoyed the food, enjoyed the views and lost track of the chaos that has become our lives. We invite you to join us at this wonderful farm to celebrate our crazy love story, the beautiful scenery, a much needed Florida vacation for everyone, and most importantly....THE FOOD!
