Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Thursday, we will be hosting a Thanksgiving Welcome Dinner, a casual family-style potluck. Friday, Tyler and Veronica will be taking the day off with their closest friends and family, and we encourage you to explore New Orleans. Saturday we will have our Ceremony + Reception, followed by an adults-only Pub Crawl. Sunday, we will gather in City Park for an informal Farewell Brunch, picnic style. We encourage you to make the the most of the holiday week and come spend some time in the Big Easy. Should you wish to come earlier than the scheduled events, please let us know and we will happily give you recommendations on places to go and things to do!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than November 1 please, especially for the extra weekend events!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See the "Travel" page for recommendations on lodgings.

Question

Are kids welcome? Talk to me about childcare.

Answer

We hope that you and your families are able to join us for an extended wedding weekend of celebrations! All of our main events - the Thanksgiving Welcome on Thursday, our Ceremony + Reception on Saturday, and our Farewell Brunch - are child-friendly. The Pub Crawl, naturally, is 21+. If you are interested in participating in a nanny-share for the wedding ceremony and reception, please note that on your RSVP. We will have our favorite sitters onsite, one per every 4-6 children, during the ceremony and reception. If you would like names of sitters for other weekend events, including ones who are able to stay with your child at your personal lodging after the reception so that you can join us for the pub crawl, please let us know - we have a wonderful village of trusted caregivers.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking for the Ceremony + Reception at the Music Box Village is extremely limited, we ask that you carpool whenever possible, and that we prioritize those guests who are mobility impaired. Uber and Lyft are very accessible in the city, as are local taxi companies. For those joining us after the reception at the Elysian Bar for the pub crawl, transportation will be provided.

Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Dress in whatever makes you feel fabulous, from Met Gala to mumu, but please be mindful that this is a very unique outdoor venue. There is a dirt ground, and rustic, industrial metal and wooden musical structures to explore. Many of the staircases are perforated metal. Flat bottomed shoes (flats, wedges, block heels - honestly, we are wearing sneakers) are recommended for you to make the most of the experience!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Starting at 4pm, guests should arrive to settle in, have a drink, and take an opportunity to explore our interactive venue, which is made up of musical houses. The ceremony is set to begin promptly at 4:30.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please reference your invitation for the number of guests you have been allotted. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Mollere at 225.223.7237.

Question

What if I can't make all of the events?

Answer

We completely understand that this is a holiday weekend and that you may have other obligations. We hope to see you at all of our festivities, please be sure to RSVP for each event separately so that we have accurate head counts.
