Thomas (Mike) and I have actually known each other since high school. He flirted then 😊 but nothing ever went past friendship. We both graduated from the same school.. Years past and we cross paths again in approximately 2004 when I moved into his neighborhood. Again, two friends crossing each other’s paths. We “kicked it” for a moment… but nothing past a friendship. We lost touch when Alyssa and I relocated to Florida from Mississippi. A mutual friend reconnected us. We talked a little while, via long distance, but nothing ever came of it and eventually, the distance overcame. Then, July 11, 2022 like everyone else, I wished him a happy birthday via Facebook post. Moments later, my messenger dinged with a message from him telling me to “come home to big daddy” 😂…. We started communicating that night…. And haven’t skipped a day since….
