Veronica and Michael met because her sister and his roommate happened to be dating. Veronica brought over blueberry muffins as a housewarming present the week the two men moved into their apartment, and the moment she laid eyes on Michael, she knew he would one day be her husband. He however, was oblivious. Fast forward three months of no-contact, Michael saw Veronica at a retreat and gave her a friendly hug. Veronica fell harder in love. Michael was still clueless. The Holy Spirit prompted Veronica to push through anxiety and text Michael first, asking him to attend Mass with her and go to Chick-fil-A afterwards, like the true homeschoolers they grew up as. He, thankfully, accepted. After this first 'date,' they realized how much they had in common, and Michael finally started to come around. He then asked her out on a date the following day, where they again attended Mass and went on a long walk, discovering how much they truly felt at peace around one another. At the end of this second date, Michael, seeing the true treasure of a woman beside him, asked Veronica to be his girlfriend. She considered it for about a millisecond, before saying yes. Within the first two months of them dating, Michael fell hard, and began asking Veronica questions of their future. The two prayerfully discerned marriage to one another for the next year of dating, and exactly 13 months after that first text, Michael asked Veronica to marry him. Before he even finished asking, she said yes to the man she always knew, from the moment they met, would be her husband.
