Mexico is open to travelers. There is no need to provide a negative PCR test or quarantine on arrival, though most resorts ask guests to fill out health questionnaires. There are health screenings at airports. All air passengers coming back to the U.S., including U.S. citizens and fully vaccinated people, are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result no more than ONE DAY before travel or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 6 months before they board a flight back to the U.S. from Mexico.
Yes! Anyone traveling from the USA or UK needs a passport to travel to Mexico. Please remember The maximum period of time that a visitor/tourist may stay in Mexico under the auspice of a FMM is six months. Therefore we recommend that your passport, regardless of country of origin, should be valid for a minimum period of six months, however long you intend to stay to avoid any potential problems at the port of entry. Immigration authorities at the port of entry may allow or deny entry of any person into Mexico. If you have a passport that is valid for less than six months and you intend to stay in Mexico for a short period of time —perhaps a vacation— the Immigration Officer might allow you entry, especially if you can show a return air ticket. Notwithstanding this, we recommend that you and your family members hold passports valid for at least six months from the date you intend to enter Mexico.
During our wedding weekend, we have wedding events in the Mexican town of Sayulita. Sayulita is a village on Mexico's Pacific coast that is known for its beaches and surfing. You will find Sayulita to be quite small and walkable. There will be no need for a car to tour the town. The Welcome Party will be located on property of Amor Boutique Hotel, which is a 5 minute walk to the Sayulita Central Plaza. The wedding venue, Brisa del Mar, is adjacent to Amor Boutique Hotel. The recovery beach party, located at Frenta al Punto is just north of the Plaza, a 15 minute walk from Amor Boutique Hotel. We will be happy to help set up transportation to these events via golf cart.
You're flying into PVR? So are we! The drive is about 45 minutes to Sayulita and there are many private car companies that can arrange. If you let Kellen & Veronica know your confirmed flight times, we can link you up with private transportation options. Many of the private shuttles will even stop for grocery pickup and a short lunch. Airport Taxis will be available upon exit of the terminal. These are privately own taxis and tend to be more expensive. Price can be haggled if you are up for it. City taxis are less expensive and can be found across the footbridge to the left as you exit the airport. This is also where a public bus to Sayulita can be found.
Of course. When RSVP'ing to our wedding via our website, you'll have an opportunity to list your food allergy.
Located on a hilltop overlooking the sea, Brisa Mar Palapa offers a beautiful vista of the ocean and Sayulita. From Amor Boutique Hotel check-in, head northwest (left) on Pescadores. After 100 yards, turn left up the hill towards Playa los Muertos. After 20 yards turn right to Brisa Mar. This should be about 4 minute walk from Amor Boutique Hotel. All other accommodations in Sayulita are also walkable to our venue; the town is small.

It's better to sit on a beach than a toilet, so be safe rather than sorry! Drink bottled, purified water at all times. While water treatment, filtration, and purification have greatly improved in Mexico, it’s still not a good idea to drink ordinary tap water during your visit. Here’s why: Sanitation standards there are still different from what you are normally used to, and that’s why traveler’s tummy strikes. Exposure to bacteria, viruses, or parasites that might remain in the water can cause gastrointestinal upset and other unpleasant symptoms.
Generally, you will want to use pesos in most establishments in Sayulita. A few, however, will accept US dollars, but the exchange rate varies and is not in your favor. You will most likely get a better rate from your bank or the money exchange. Your best bet is to use pesos. Many restaurants accept debit/credit cards as well.
