Who’d have thought that two old souls would find each other on Bumble. A wonderful dinner date at Popolo back in May 2018 (where Veronica was her classic late self) turned into a marathon of dates, with the Antique Centre, Planetarium and quiet, secret whiskey bars the preference for the couple. Darcy talked a lot about football... and Veronica pretended to listen... Veronica showed him her shoe collection... and he pretended it was normal... To procrastinate university study, Veronica helped Darcy renovate his home, showing off her handy-woman skills and knack for interior design... Before long, it had changed from a bachelor pad into a home. Darcy knew it was serious so he introduced her to his two kittens - Oscar and Lady. V knew it was serious so she showed him her home town in Poland. When on holidays in the chilly Blue Mountains of NSW, for days Darcy pestered V to wake up early to watch the sunrise, until finally the night owl agreed. He wanted to show her the Three Sisters in the morning glow... and also ask her to be his wife! And on that day, 27th April 2021, Veronica said yes!
