November 21, 2017 was the day that changed our lives. We met in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where we were performing in the Dolly Parton Smoky Mountain Adventure Christmas Show. For the first few weeks, we were not much more than just acquaintances working together and sometimes hanging out at small cast parties. A few weeks later, Reggie’s family came to see the show and spend Thanksgiving together in Tennessee. Veronica met Reggie’s family after the show during a meet-and-greet, where she fell in love with his grandma. She jokingly told her that one day she was going to marry her grandson; little did we know how true that would be! Knowing Veronica’s love for animals, Reggie invited Veronica over to his family’s cabin to meet his mom’s new puppy. We spent all hours of the night hanging out with Reggie’s Mom and Step Dad, playing games and drinking lots and lots of wine. We continued spending all of our extra time together and knew there was something very special between us. Once this show ended we continued our relationship long distance for 7 months. In those months, we were still performing in different shows traveling back and forth to visit and support each other. February of 2018 Reggie came to Michigan to meet Veronica’s family. He fit in perfectly. Not only did her parents and siblings approve, but so did Kieren and that made it a done deal. Later that year, Reggie was offered a contract, performing in the show, ‘Le Reve’ in Las Vegas. He accepted the offer and asked Veronica to join him on the journey. So naturally we packed up the car and headed to Vegas where we still live today with our two dogs Raven and Kingston. After 5 years of being together and Veronica asking Reggie to marry her every single day and him saying no every single time, Reggie finally popped the question on May 24, 2022 at Gilcrese Orchard in a beautiful sunflower field in Vegas. We have always talked about getting married in a place that meant so much to us. Our wedding will take us full circle, just like our wedding rings, back to our very special place.
