It all began in the spring of 2012 at Sam Houston State University. What started as a simple hello quickly grew into something special. Before long, we found ourselves in the same class, exchanging texts that turned into late-night conversations, and spending time together filled with laughter, shared hobbies, good food, and plenty of sports. From competing on the basketball court to battling it out on video games, our connection was instant and undeniable. Fast forward to January 29, 2022 — a day we will never forget. On the same day we revealed we were expecting our first son, Kaysen, Vernell got down on one knee and asked Raven to be his forever. With the love and support of family and friends helping to make it a beautiful surprise, she joyfully said, “Yes!” Now, two amazing children later, our journey has only grown richer. We cannot wait to celebrate our love story with all of you and begin the next chapter as husband and wife.
