Back in 2015, he seen her for the very first time walking down the aisles of his church at Bethel A.M.E-New Haven. She was there in support of her Bishop (Shiloh-New London), and was there to sing in the choir. At the end of the service, Mel walks over to introduce himself only to notice that she was already gone. He then proceeds to ask his cousin Gloria, "who was that girl with the black dress who sings in the choir?" Long story short: Gloria was the plug that sparked our AMAZING love story!

On July 6th, 2019, during our annual 4th of July cookout, Mel gathers everyone's attention to thank them for attending the cookout. After "V" goes to her seat, Mel calls her back over to him, to surprise her in front of our family and friends with a tear-dropping proposal. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in October!
