This story goes back to 2016, when Drake's "One Dance" was the only song that could make you feel something and Snapchat was the main form of communication. Abby had been at Trinity Christian School her whole life with essentially the same group of students. Then, one day Junior Year, a new guy at school shows up to AP Language in a sleek Barbour vest. And the rest is history... Jim asked Abby on their first date to see a horror movie the summer of 2016, even though neither liked horror movies. They dated all of senior year, despite all the advice to not start a relationship before college. Senior year was filled with all the highlights an 18-year old could dream of: Abby watching Jim play football, Jim coming to Abby's musicals, the Homecoming dance, Prom, and Graduation. Abby and Jim both decided to attend college in Birmingham, Alabama where they spent their weekends swing dancing at date parties, exploring a new city, and basking in the fun of dating their best friend. Abby decided she was ready for the adventure of moving to Hawaii after college, but the story doesn't end there. The year turned into quite a success story for "two friends" who just so happened to talk every single day... When Abby's intern year was over, they knew they didn't want to live without each other and were ready to make things official - again! Jim proposed to Abby on December 20th, 2022 in Atlanta's Piedmont Park - a city with countless memories of dates and celebrations together over the years.
